QUALICOAT Explained |
Developed over 20 years and accepted in 20 countries, Qualicoat is an international benchmark of quality for the powder coating industry and is the only independent compliance system for powder coating in Australia. Qualicoat specifies and verifies the powder coating practises of its members, in accordance with Australian and International Standards set in the Building Code of Australia. The system outlines the minimum criteria for the critical elements of powder application including pre-treatment, plant, powder, process control and testing. Powder manufacturers products and pre-treatment systems are also tested and approved by Qualicoat Administered through the Qualicoat division of the Australasian Institute of Surface Finishing (AISF), Qualicoat is audited by the independent Azuma organisation, which is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). Compliance certification Qualicoat provides a Proven Risk Management System. In the unlikely event of a claim, documented and independently audited procedures provide strong supporting evidence of correct application practices. One of the major benefits of Qualicoat membership is therefore compliance certification, which is essentially proof of third party accreditation and compliance to Australian Standards. Media Releases
