Brunswick Sales was first establishedin the late 1960’s.

It’s involvement with the design and manufacture of specialised wall ties for clay brick and concrete block work, began with close consultation of leading Architectural and Structural Engineering offices, who expressed a major concern
with the restraint of these bricks and blocks to structural members.

Differential Movement
Differential movements in building structure may result from a number of factors:

• Permanent changes in the size of masonrywalls
• Shrinkage of the structure of reinforced
concrete buildings
• Elastic deformation of load bearing members
• Cyclical thermal movements

Failure to design for any or all of the above movements can result in considerable structural damage that can be extremely costly and in some instances impracticable to repair.
It soon became apparent that a solution was required to accommodate the need for expansion and contraction of these members whilst still providing lateral stability.
In time, the product range known as “Masonry Flexible Anchors” was developed to offer a solution to this problem. Over the years the range has developed from three specialised products to a range of over 20 specialised products for unique structural applications.

Brunswick Sales now distributes its product range, known as Masonry Flexible Anchors, throughout Australia and has been used extensively by Structural Engineers and Designers both in Australia and overseas in major construction projects.
