Sustainability Assessments
To be truly sustainable, building products must possess two characteristics, both of which must be properly considered:
1. Building products must be manufactured by sustainable methods, incorporating low impact renewable materials, employing reduced manufacturing energy, minimising the production toxic wastes, with a long service life and capable of reuse.
2. Building products must contribute in a meaningful way to the operational sustainability of the building as a whole, e.g. they minimise energy use, greenhouse production, water use, air pollution and the like.

CodeMark Consultancy
Most building product manufacturers do not fully understand the purpose of CodeMark, or, more importantly, have difficulty in implementing the management and production controls that enable them to achieve certification. There is a lot of common ground between CodeMark, quality assurance and BCA application and ENVIROSPEC has an impressive track record in each of these fields.
